KRAKOW, Oct 20 (SW) – Blackburn Rovers manager Mark Hughes accused certain individuals of racial abuse against Benni McCarthy.

He added that his South African striker had been on the wrong end of continual racial abuse throughout the match.

Rovers won the UEFA Cup Group E match against Wisla Krakow 2 – 1.

The comments are believed to have upset the player.

A formal complaint by Hughes to UEFA is expected and he also made it clear that they have a fairly good idea of who was involved.
