IBAGUE, Dec 21 (SW) - Cucuta Deportivo have won the Colombian championship for the first time ever, beating Tolima 2-1 on aggregate.

The first leg, played in Cucuta, had a 1-0 score as result and Tolima needed to overcome that deficit at home on Wednesday.

Yulian Anchico levelled the aggregate score after fifteen minutes but Macnelly Torres decides the clash - and the championship - in the 76th minute, 1-1.

Since the formation of the club in 1949, Cucuta had never clinched the trophy. Tolima won the trophy once, in 2003.

Cucuta coach Jorge Luis Pinto will be leaving the team to make a move to the Colombian national team.
