MADRID (AFP) - Argentinian international midfielder Pablo Aimar on Thursday signed for Portuguese giants Benfica from relegated Spanish First Division side Real Zaragoza.
The 28-year-old - nicknamed 'the clown' and capped over 50 times by his country as well as being a veteran of two World Cup final tournaments - has agreed a four-year deal worth 7.5 million euros (11.9 million dollars).
Aimar previously worked under Benfica's new Spanish scoach Quique Flores during his time at Valencia from 2000 to 2006.
