A CORUÑA (SW) - Spanish striker Mista will be spending the next season at Deportivo la Coruña. This was announced by the team on their website.

The player, whose full name is Miguel Ángel Ferrer Martínez, joined his current side Atlético de Madrid from Valencia two years ago.

At Valencia, Mista grew to become one of the key players and helped the team to their most recent Liga title in 2004. The forward was not selected for the Euro 2004 squad, much to the disappointment of Valencian fans.

In 2006, Mista joined Atlético but never managed to convince as much as he had in Valencia. In 35 appearances, the striker scored only three goals.

at Deportivo, Mista signed a deal for the coming three seasons.
