Braga have appointed coach Jorge Jesus on a two-year contract. The 53-year-old takes the reins from caretaker António Caldas who himself replaced Manuel Machado in April.

Jesus resigned as boss of Braga's Portuguese Liga rivals CF Os Belenenses yesterday in order to accept the job. Braga finished the season in seventh place, with Lisbon-based Belenenses eighth. Jesus has also coached CF Estrela da Amadora, Vitória FC, Vitória SC and UD Leiria.
