LONDON (AFP) - Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson was dropped for Wednesday's League Cup semi-final match against Arsenal as Juande Ramos finally lost patience with the England international.
Robinson's form has been poor this season and he was at fault for both of Reading's goals in Saturday's FA Cup draw.
Spurs boss Ramos is reportedly ready to let him leave White Hart Lane and the 28-year-old could be on his way soon than expected judging by his absence from the team at the Emirates Stadium.
Ramos named all his senior players for the first leg except Robinson, who was demoted to the bench, with Czech keeper Radek Cerny making his first start since October and only his fifth appearance of the campaign.
Robinson's demotion caps a miserable season after he had already lost his England place to Scott Carson.
