Former Switzerland midfielder Ciriaco Sforza has extended his contract as coach of Swiss Super League outfit FC Luzern for one year until summer 2009.

The 38-year-old took charge at Luzern in 2006 after retiring from playing with 1. FC Kaiserslautern. "I have always stated that my work here is not yet done and that I still want to reach goals with this club," said Sforza.
