FULL TIME - Portsmouth FC have won the FA Cup! Nigerian Nwankwo Kanu scored the only goal and has been named Man of the Match.

Minute 90+4: A chance for Ledley but his attempt doesn't get past the defense. The following corner comes to nothing.

Minute 90+3: Less than two minutes are left at Wembley.

Minute 90+1: No less than four minutes are added to this match.

Minute 89: Several chances for Cardiff but Portsmouth's defenders somehow manage to block everything that comes their way.

Minute 87: And Portsmouth make another changes as well. Goalscorer Nwankwo Kanu comes off for another striker, Milan Baros.

Minute 87: Another Cardiff substitution as Gavin Rae is done for the day and Trevor Sinclair comes on for the remaining minutes.

Minute 85: Sylvain Distin makes his way through Cardiff's entire defense but then fails to get a shot on goal.

Minute 79: A Loovens header from a corner kick goes to the ground but bounces just over the crossbar.

Minute 78: Cardiff try to attack but Portsmouth still manage to keep the ball away from the goal. Another substitution meanwhile as Mendes is replaced with Papa Bouba Diop.

Minute 72: Nugent shows himself right away and hits the sidenet for Portsmouth, who are still looking to decide this clash with a second goal.

Minute 69: David Nugent joins the action and replaces John Utaka.

Minute 66: Cardiff must be starting to feel the pressure as the Welsh have only 24 minutes left to avoid the defeat.

Minute 61: Substitution for Cardiff. Peter Whittingham comes off for Aaron Ramsey.

Minute 57: Portsmouth seem stronger than they were throughout most of the first half, and spend more time on Cardiffs's half. They obviously prefer to score a second over sitting back and defending their small lead.

Minute 53: Kanu almost scores his second, having received the ball from the right but his effort is deflected by a defender.

Minute 51: Cardiff get their first chance after the break as Johnson heads into the sidenet from a left-winged cross.

Minute 46: We're back in action at Wembley and Cardiff have 45 minutes left to change their situation.

HALF TIME - Portsmouth are in the lead at the half time whistle but whether it's fully deserved is debatable. Cardiff showed their fighting spirit and will undoubtedly do so again in the second half.

Minute 45+2: A cardiff free kick has a corner kick as result. Loovens thinks to score following some chaotic moments but the whistle has sounded as the Dutchman handled the ball before netting.

Minute 40: Opportunity for Cardiff to level as Parry comes down the left wing at high speed. Parry sends in a low cross but defender McNaughton arrives too late.

Minute 37:GOAL PORTSMOUTH (0-1) - NWANKWO KANU. A cross from the right is too difficult to control for Enckelman and Kanu stands in the right place to score the opening goal!

Minute 34: Mendes with a shot on goal for Portsmouth but Enckelman makes the save.

Minute 32: Dangerous moment near Portsmouth's goal as Ledley sends in a low cross from the left, but the defense manage to clear.

Minute 27: Dangerous header from Cardiff's Roger Johnson after a Whittingham free kick, but the ball flies just over the bar.

Minute 22: Portsmouth close to the opener as Nwankwo Kanu gets around the goalkeeper but the angle is too difficult and the Nigerian hits the outside of the post.

Minute 21: The pitch is rather slippery as result of a short but heavy rain shower just before the match.

Minute 16: Cardiff goalie Enckelman in trouble as he fails to correctly clear a Portsmouth free kick. The following chaos in his defense leads to nothing though.

Minute 14: Another chance to Cardiff but Peter Whittingham's shot goes about two meters wide of the left post.

Minute 13: David James shows his value as the national team goalie blocks an effort by Paul Parry who received a sharp throughball from Joe Ledley.

Minute 12: No real chances yet but it's still Cardiff to take most of the initiative.

Minute 6: Portsmouth appear to be a little nervous in the opening phase and allow Cardiff to keep threatening their defense.

Minute 3: The atmosphere is clear between the teams as provocation is being used in an attempt to intimidate the opponents.

Minute 0: The match is underway at a packed Wembley Stadium in London. The English and Welsh anthems have been sung, as a proof of today's battle between the two British nations.
