MARSEILLE, France (AFP) - Marseille's Argentine playmaker Lucho Gonzalez will be out for at least three weeks after spraining his ankle in the 1-1 draw against Toulouse on Saturday, his club announced on Monday.
An MRI scan on Monday confirmed club doctor Christophe Baudot's initial diagnosis that the club's record signing would be out for "around three weeks".
Lucho left the field on a stretcher after 64 minutes of Saturday's match at the Stade Velodrome following a tackle by Toulouse centre-back Dany Nounkeu.
The Argentina international, who joined for an initial fee of 18 million euros that could rise to 24 million euros, missed the first six weeks of the season after fracturing his collarbone in a pre-season friendly in July.
